“As part of our commitment to the community,” said Calabro “we are extending an invitation to job seekers throughout Lee County to attend the event later in the afternoon to meet with employers. Job seekers who wish to explore coming back to college and retraining or sharpening their knowledge can visit with members of our Admissions Team and our Industry Relations and Graduate Placement Staff at the Regional Career Fair event.”
Joe Paterno, Executive Director of the Southwest Florida Workforce Development Board, is pleased to partner with Southwest Florida College and the region’s businesses to help job seekers explore prospective career options and educational opportunities. Mr. Paterno stated “This will be a great opportunity for students who have or will soon graduate, as well as under-employed and unemployed Southwest Florida residents to connect with hiring officials at some of the region’s best places to work.”
The event will be open to the public between the hours of 1 PM and 4 PM and is “complimentary” to both employers and job seekers. The college is providing a special morning session and luncheon for participating employers. Limited Underwriter opportunities are still available.
