The 3rd Annual Italian Fest is being presented by Southwest Florida College!

The Rotary Club is hosting an Italian Fest on the campus of the Alliance for the Arts, (corner of McGregor Blvd and Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers) on Sunday October 3rd from 11am - 5pm.

Admission is free and there will be fun for the entire family.

Attendees will be able to enjoy Italian fare from a variety of the area’s finest restaurants. Featuring: Sasse’s, University Grill, Pizza Fusion, Mario’s Meat Market, Mastello Ristorante, LaMotta’s.

For the cooks there will be a “The Best Homemade Marinara Contest” featuring celebrity judges with prizes for the winners. For entry information contact Cherry Robson at 332-8158 or email office@rotaryfortmyers.org

The mission of Southwest Florida College is to provide an education to individuals that will enable them to pursue successful careers and lead enriched lives.

During the Italian Fest event, Southwest Florida College will spotlight one of their programs every hour. From 11 AM to 12 noon, Allied Health will get the spotlight! Come and get your informational hand-out about personal health records and participate in the Italian Bowling Game (Bacci). From 12 noon to 1 PM, Arts and Sciences and the Education Department will conduct Italian story telling and will be teaching everyone how to create pasta bookmarks. The Legal Studies department will present a crime scene display and will be taking fingerprints from 1 PM to 2 PM. The Information Technology department and the Design Studies Department will partner up from 3 PM to 4 PM to present a DVD Toss game, showcase fabric samples and play "Identify the Identity" where you will have a chance to guess the logo.  Freshman Studies will have "Frisbees for Freshman from 4 PM to 5 PM and the Southwest Florida College Rotaract club will be assisting all day, so be sure to ask them more about membership.
