SWFC Criminal Justice Program Students Score Big



Four Criminal Justice Students, Max Tinkey “CJ Fraternity Club President”, Kyle McClinton, Oscar Lopez and Scott Siebert “CJ Fraternity Fundraising Chairman” are members of the American Criminal Justice Association, subchapter of Delta Omega Gamma Zeta, at Southwest Florida College. They journeyed to Richmond, Kentucky to compete in the 2009 LAE Region 5 Conference which was held at Eastern Kentucky University on September 24 through 26, 2009.

The students received awards for their efforts in several competitions. Oscar Lopez placed 2nd in the physical agility test. Max Tinkey placed 2nd in the Police Management examination and 3rd in the Criminal Law examination. Tinkey, Lopez and Siebert placed 1st in the team Firearms Competition. These students competed against regional colleges such as: University of Central Florida, Eastern Kentucky University, Florida State, ITT Tech Alabama, and ITT Tech Jacksonville Florida.
